Fire breaks out at Kpg Hilir

SIBU (Sept 22): A fire broke out at Kampung Hilir here on Sunday evening.

As of press time, details on the number of houses affected are still unknown.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Zone 4 chief Andy Alie when contacted by The Borneo Post said the fire was “serious”.

In the interest of safety, access to the affected area has been sealed off.

Villagers were seen converging on the scene, with some carrying their belongings.
