Fire tears through upper floor of Kitang Height house in Kuching

KUCHING, June 15: The upper floor of a house at Kitang Height, Jalan Kuching-Bau here was razed by a fire that occurred on Sunday night (June 14).

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 8.50am, and firefighters from the Kota Sentosa were deployed, assisted by the Batu Lintang station.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found that a 12ftx15ft room on the upper floor of a double-storey terraced house had been destroyed by fire.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames, with the cause of the fire and estimated losses under investigation.

The operation concluded at 10.30pm, and no casualties were reported in the incident. — DayakDaily
