SELANGAU, Jan 18: A lorry transporting coal sustained 80 per cent damage when it caught fire on Jalan Selangau-Mukah today.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) responded to the emergency at 12.25pm and immediately despatched a team of firefighters from the Selangau Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firefighters quickly initiated efforts to extinguish the flames, deploying two hoses and water tanks from the fire engine.
After ensuring the site was safe, the firefighters concluded the operation at 1.35pm. — DayakDaily
