MIRI (March 30): The Crime Prevention Unit of Batu Niah Police Station has arrested four men in connection with the theft of vehicle batteries and copper wires behind a Batu Niah supermarket.
According to a police statement, they were arrested last Wednesday following information and intelligence.
“A police team from Batu Niah Police Station also conducted a raid on a village in Tanjung Belipat, Batu Niah.
“During the raid, several vehicle batteries and copper wires believed to be linked to the case were seized,” said the statement.
All four suspects will be remanded to assist with the investigation under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
The police advised the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
Information related to criminal activities can be channelled to the nearest police station.
