KUCHING, July 4: Firefighters managed to contain a small fire caused by a leaking gas pipeline at Jalan Kwongtung in Miri this morning.

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 9.58am, and firefighters were deployed.

Firefighters extinguished the fire using one initial attack hose line while wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE) before contacting the relevant party for follow-up action.

The operation was subsequently fully handed over to the relevant party after the situation was brought under control.

No injuries were reported in the incident. — DayakDaily
