KUCHING (April 8): A total of 11 vehicles were seized for having expired motor vehicle licences and without insurance coverage during the ‘Ops Khas Motosikal’ and ‘Ops Luxury’ conducted by the Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ Sarawak) on Tuesday.
The operation involved patrols and monitoring around the Kuching area, as well as static inspections along Jalan Dato Haji Daud Abdul Rahman.
According to JPJ Sarawak, the operation saw 1,041 vehicles of various types inspected, reflecting its continued commitment to combating traffic offences that endanger road users.
“Among the offences detected were driving without a valid licence, expired driving licences, and various technical vehicle offences,” it said in a Facebook post.
JPJ Sarawak added that it will continue to intensify enforcement efforts to ensure compliance with existing laws and safeguard the safety of all road users.
