Kelly Teo Yeo secures gold triumph

KUCHING: A final lap secured Sarawak swimmer Kelly Teo Yeo the gold medal in the women’s 800-meter freestyle event at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre on today (Aug 21).

Delivering an outstanding performance, she clocked a time of 9:23.77, significantly ahead of Selangor’s Shannon Tan Tan Qing, who finished second with a time of 9:32.46.

Sabah’s Chu Xin Ying Chu claimed the bronze medal with a time of 9:34.42.

Deputy Minister of Women, Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam was present to present the medals to the winners.
