KOTA KINABALU (Feb 14): Ko-Nelayan has been allocated RM108.49 million to implement eight programmes and 28 projects under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), said Sabah Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Datuk Jamawi Jaafar.

He said he was confident the implementation would have a meaningful impact on both sea and inland fishermen.

“I want to congratulate Ko-Nelayan for successfully utilising about 90 per cent of its previous RM39.8 million allocation, which translated into tangible impact though its various projects,” he said when officiating the Ko-Nelayan Appreciation Night at the Marriot Hotel Kota Kinabalu on Thursday.

During the ceremony, Jamawi also presented the ‘Jasamu Dikenang Award 2025’ and the Excellent Service Award 2025.

Also present were his deputy minister Ruslan Muharam, Ko-Nelayan chairman Harun Durabi and Ko-Nelayan general manager Yusof Awang Besar.
