KUCHING (Feb 21): After a day of festive cheer, the evening at the KTS Group Chinese New Year gathering at KTS Garden took on a quieter rhythm as Muslim staff and their families prepared to break their fast.

The spotlight shifted to Muslim employees for a special iftar session, held as part of the company’s inclusive celebration welcoming the Year of the Horse.

Round tables were neatly arranged, and staff dressed in vibrant attire mingled warmly as they awaited the moment to break their fast.

When the azan signalled the end of the day’s fast, guests lined up to enjoy a specially prepared spread.

The evening event, which began around 6.30pm, was thoughtfully scheduled to allow Muslim employees to participate in the company’s festivities even during the Ramadan month, reflecting a spirit of mutual respect as colleagues of different backgrounds celebrated side by side.

As staff shared hearty meals and light conversation, the lion dance resumed at around 7.15pm, delighting guests with its energy and colour.

The harmonious blend of festivity and faith created a unique scene, symbolising unity in diversity.

The celebration concluded on a warm note with light entertainment, including a fun lucky draw, leaving participants with lasting memories of camaraderie and shared joy.
