Kuching Life Care Society raises RM350,000 at annual charity fair

KUCHING (Oct 20): The Kuching Life Care Society successfully raised RM350,000 during its annual charity fair held at the MBKS Community Hall here yesterday.

The Society said the funds raised will be used to cover the operating cost of the Society’s Palliative Care Centre in Desa Wira, Batu Kawa here.

“Many supporters and general public started arriving as early as 6am, even though the event was scheduled to start at 7.30am.

“A wide variety of food and beverages, plants, handicraft, decorative items and others were available for buyers,” it said in a press release.

Padawan Municipal Council chairman Tan Kai officiated at the opening of the charity fair, which was also attended by Kuching Life Care Society chairman Hung Sung Huo.
