Kuching police impound seven motorcycles, issue 30 summonses in traffic operation

KUCHING (Feb 28): Police issued 30 summonses and impounded seven motorcycles during Op Samseng Jalanan, which was conducted from 10pm Friday until 2am today.

The operation covered several areas in Kuching city, including Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman Haakup, Masja, and Pangkalan Sapi, according to the Kuching district police headquarters.

“The seven motorcycles were impounded under Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

“Among the traffic offenses detected include the absence of driving licenses, no insurance, no plate numbers, no side mirrors, and illegal modifications on the exhaust and structures,” the police said in a Facebook post.
