KUCHING (Feb 27): Sarawak elite bowler Lavinia Kho Jia Jie stole the spotlight by clinching the Girls Overall title at the SSC-ABAS U21 February Roll-Off at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa on Feb 21-22.
Her triumph capped an impressive two-day showing, where she demonstrated consistency, composure, and competitive maturity to emerge as the top female performer across all divisions.
Lavinia’s victory in the U21 Girls category further underlined her dominance, placing her firmly among Sarawak’s promising youth talents.
Finishing behind her in the Girls Overall standings was Nur Fathi Fatihah Mohammad Zakry in second place, followed by Adriana Ramiza Ramulo in third.
In the Boys Overall category, Gerald Ethan Tony delivered a strong performance to secure the overall crown.
Mohamed Farhan Asgar settled for second, while Eldred Kho Yek Zhen completed the podium.
Across the age-group divisions, several young bowlers also made their mark.
In the U11 category, Isabel Mok Yi Nuo and Alfred Phang Kang Yee emerged champions in the girls’ and boys’ events respectively.
Nur Fathi Fatihah added another achievement to her campaign by taking top honours in the U13 Girls division, while Lee Tee Ker triumphed in the boys’ event.
The U16 division saw Anathacia Gadding John Lon and Gerald Ethan claim the girls’ and boys’ titles respectively, with the latter reinforcing his strong overall showing.
Meanwhile, Lavinia’s victory in the U21 Girls category capped a dominant outing, with Adriana Ramiza finishing second and Claudia Kumang Jakson third.
In the U21 Boys event, Mohamed Farhan took first place, followed by Eldred Kho and Muhammad Isyraq Iqbal Ramadhan.
Organised under the SSC-ABAS development pathway, the roll-off series continues to provide an important platform for youth bowlers to sharpen their skills and gain competitive exposure, with Lavinia’s standout performance highlighting the depth of emerging talent in Sarawak’s bowling scene.
