KUCHING, Sept 14: Lubok Antu remained in the ‘very unhealthy’ air quality category as of 8am today, with its Air Pollutant Index (API) reading rising to 205 from 201 yesterday (Sept 13).

According to the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak, Serian continued to show improvement, remaining in the ‘unhealthy’ category with an API reading of 173.

Other areas in the ‘unhealthy’ category were Kuching at 132, Sri Aman at 172, Tebedu at 174, and Betong at 154.

Meanwhile, several areas recorded API readings below 100, placing them in the ‘moderate’ category, including Samarahan at 98, Sarikei (75), Sibu (83), Mukah (67), Kapit (62), Bintulu (75), Samalaju (73), Miri (67), ILP Miri (59), Limbang (55), Lundu (94), Kanowit (97), and Lawas (60).

Bario continued to enjoy good air quality, with its API reading holding steady at 40 as of 8am today. — DayakDaily
