SAMARAHAN CITY, Oct. 9: A 40-year-old man was injured in the face after his car collapsed on the side of the road facing Wisma Salcra, Datuk Mohammad Musa Road, here today.
According to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Sarawak, it received a call regarding the incident at 5.30 pm before members of the Samarahan City Fire and Rescue Department arrived on site at 5.46 pm.
"On arrival at the scene, the victim was removed from the vehicle by civilians before the bombers arrived. Victims are not narrowed down in that incident.
"Operation Output Team did not conduct rescue operations, instead cut the vehicle's battery wire for safety purposes", the statement said.
The bomb also provided early treatment to the victims before taking them to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The operation was controlled at 6:00 p.m. and fully terminated at 6:10 p.m. after the situation on site was confirmed to be safe.
