MetMalaysia: Bad weather expected in several places throughout the country until noon

KUCHING (Aug 11): Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit several places in Sarawak, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia until noon today, warned the Meteorological Department of Malaysia (MetMalaysia).

According to an alert issued at 8.50am, MetMalaysia said the bad weather is to occur in Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah and Kapit (Song).

Similar weather conditions are also expected in the interior of Sabah (Tenom, Nabawan and Keningau), said the department.

In Peninsular Malaysia, MetMalaysia said thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are also expected over the states of Kedah (Langkawi), Perak (Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak), Selangor (Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang), Negeri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau), Melaka and Johor (Tangkak, Muar and Batu Pahat).
