MIRI, Nov 29: Several major roads and intersections around the Marina and Luak areas will be closed or diverted this Sunday (Nov 30) for the Pullman Half Marathon 2025.

In a statement, Miri district police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the temporary closures are necessary to ensure the safety of runners and the smooth flow of the event.

The affected roads include Jalan Marina Utama, Jalan Marina 1, Jalan Brighton and Jalan Luak/Esplanade.

Several key junctions and roundabouts will also be controlled or closed, namely Pullman Roundabout, traffic lights at Marina 1, Marina 3, Marina 5, Jalan Bandaraya, Brighton–Marina Utama, Marriot Roundabout, Tanjung Lobang, Luak, Luak Mosque and Jalan Aru.

Farhan advised road users to cooperate with police officers on duty and obey all instructions during the marathon period.

“The public is also advised to plan their journeys ahead while the event is taking place,” he said.
