Motorcyclist found dead in ditch along Jln Kuari Sibu

SIBU (Feb 28): A motorcyclist was found dead in a ditch near his wrecked bike along Jalan Kuari near Taman Bukit Aup here earlier today.

According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Centre (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 3.39pm reporting the discovery.

The Sungai Merah Bomba team was immediately dispatched to the scene, located approximately five kilometres away.

“Upon arrival, the team found the man’s body in the ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ministry of Health,” Bomba said in a statement.

Police have classified the incident as a single-vehicle accident. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash.
