KUCHING, July 2: The public is invited to take part in Move For Gold 2026, a three-day fitness, wellness and fundraising event in support of childhood cancer awareness and the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS), which begins this Friday (July 3) across two venues in The Hills and Pullman Kuching.
Held in conjunction with SCCS’s 25th anniversary, the event brings together community fitness activities, wellness programmes and charity-driven initiatives aimed at raising support for children and families affected by cancer.
Organised by DefyLAB Sdn Bhd in support of SCCS, Move For Gold 2026 seeks to unite the community through health-focused activities while strengthening public awareness and fundraising efforts for childhood cancer care.
“As we enter the final countdown, we invite everyone to come together with their families and friends to be part of this special weekend.
“Whether participating in the activities, supporting GoBald, cheering on the Golden Loop 5KM Charity Run participants or simply spending time at the festival, every show of support helps strengthen our community and demonstrates solidarity with children and families facing childhood cancer,” DefyLAB said in a media release today.
At The Hills, public-friendly highlights include the Busy Goose Market 3.0 from Friday to Sunday, the GoBald 2026 programme on Saturday (July 4), where participants will shave their heads in solidarity with children undergoing cancer treatment, as well as the Mini Jungle Warrior Challenge, interactive workshops, and family-oriented activities on Sunday (July 5).
Meanwhile, Pullman Kuching will host ticketed programmes throughout the three-day event, including the Fitness & Wellness Festival on Friday (July 3), followed by the CrossFit Challenge on Saturday (July 4).
The programme concludes on Sunday (July 5) with the Golden Loop 5KM Charity Run, followed by the SCCS 25th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, marking the organisation’s milestone of supporting children with cancer and their families across Sarawak over the past decades.
Over the past 25 years, SCCS has assisted more than 1,800 families across Sarawak through financial aid, accommodation support, counselling and long-term care programmes, made possible through the continued backing of families, healthcare professionals, volunteers, donors and community partners.
With the event just days away, the public is encouraged to join the weekend activities and show their support for children and families affected by childhood cancer.
Move For Gold 2026 is supported by Mubadala Energy as Title Sponsor and Ibraco Berhad as the Fitness & Wellness Festival Partner, in collaboration with strategic partners Interhill Group, Pullman Kuching and The Hills. — DayakDaily
