KUCHING, Dec 20: The completion of the Leadership Park (I-Lead) and the INTAN Sarawak Regional Campus Facility Upgrade – Roads and Parking projects is set to significantly enhance the delivery of training to public servants across the State, providing modern, safe, and conducive facilities for skill and leadership development.
The handover ceremony for both projects was attended by the Public Works Sarawak director Datu Ir Cassidy Morris, and officiated by deputy chief director of Public Service (Operations) Dato’ Mohd Shaiful Ibrahim at INTAN, Kota Samarahan Campus on Friday (Dec 19).
According to a statement on JKR Sarawak social media, the projects were officially handed over by JKR Sarawak to the Sarawak Public Service Department, marking the full completion of both initiatives for immediate use by clients.
In his speech, Cassidy highlighted that the successful execution of these projects demonstrates JKR Sarawak’s capability and commitment to delivering high-quality public facilities.
“Every project is implemented with strict adherence to specifications, technical standards, and quality benchmarks to ensure long-term benefits for users,” he said.
He also noted that these projects open opportunities for further strategic collaboration between JKR Sarawak and INTAN, particularly in planning and developing training facilities that enhance the capabilities of public servants.
Meanwhile, Mohd Shaiful said the upgraded facilities will strengthen training delivery and support human capital development in the public sector.
He also commended JKR Sarawak’s technical expertise in bringing these projects to fruition and expressed hope for continued collaboration in future initiatives.
The Leadership Park (I-Lead) at INTAN Samarahan Campus features a main Incube building, 11 outdoor elements, and landscaped areas designed to foster leadership development in an open-environment setting.
The Roads and Parking Upgrade Project includes improved roads, street furniture, enhanced drainage systems, and covered parking facilities, creating a safer and more comfortable campus environment for users.
