BINTULU (Feb 24): A refreshed leadership line-up is set to steer the Bintulu Football Association (Bifa) for the 2027–029 term following the appointment of its new exco members during its triennial general meeting on Sunday.

Heading the new team is Sophie Shariee who assumes the presidency with a mandate to further strengthen football development in the division.

He is supported by deputy president Awang Madihi Awang Yatim.

The leadership structure is reinforced by five vice presidents: Mohd Farhan Abdullah @ Anai Igang, Awang Abu Suhardi Awang Suut, as well as appointed members Shafie Ahmad, Barin Medan and Abdul Rahman Mohamad Bujang.

Completing the core leadership team are Musabaqah Meliki as secretary, Halimah Musa as assistant secretary, Lyokarto Sikong as treasurer and Rosnani Hamzah as assistant treasurer.

Eight committee members entrusted to support the new administration are Mohamad Dahlan Matusin, Roslan Dris, Mohamad Zahirudin Abu Bakar, Ayub Ahmad, Awang Abdul Hakim Awang Mahmud, Mohamad Zulkifli Mohamad Junaidi, Sahran Abdul Samad and Alex Zulkarnaen Abdullah.

The newly formed exco is expected to chart a progressive and competitive path forward for football in Bintulu, promising to build on existing foundations and introduce renewed energy and direction for the 2027–029 term.
