Nur Azhar Bujang reappointed DUN secretary

KUCHING (March 30): Nur Azhar Bujang has been reappointed as State Legislative Assembly (DUN) secretary.

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit report, he took his oath of office in the presence of DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar during a ceremony at the DUN Complex here on Monday.

Also present were Deputy Speaker Datuk Idris Buang, State Attorney-General’s Chambers senior counsel Dr Jady @ Zaidi Hassim, and senior DUN officers.

Nur Azhar was first appointed to the post in 2024, succeeding Pele Peter Tinggom.

The report stated that Nur Azhar reappointment reflects continued confidence in his leadership, experience, and commitment in carrying out his duties.

“The ceremony also underscored continuity in administration and the strengthening of the state legislative institution to ensure the smooth running of the Sarawak DUN,” it added.
