Over 500 take part in annual 10km Pulau Li Hua Run 5.0, 4km fun run

SIBU (Oct 21): More than 500 individuals joined the Pulau Li Hua Run 5.0 and Pulau Li Hua Fun Run at Pulau Li Hua here yesterday.

Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, who is Bintulu MP and Dudong assemblyman, officiated at the event.

Event organising chairman Eric Teo said the participants came from Sibu, Miri, Sarikei and Bintulu.

“We would like to thank all the participants who made this annual event a success,” he said.

The programme was jointly organised by the Pulau Li Hua village security and development committee, Pulau Li Hua Recreational Sports Club, and the Photographic Society of Sibu Sarawak.

The fun run involved a 4km route around Pulau Li Hua, while the Pulau Li Hua Run 5.0 covered a distance of 10km from Pulau Li Hua towards Lanang Bridge to Jalan Lanang, and back to the starting point.
