Petronas awards 49 Sarawakian vendors

KUCHING: In a significant nod to local contributions, Petronas recently acknowledged the vital role of 49 Sarawakian vendors in the expansion of their Oil and Gas, Service, and Equipment (OGSE) services.

At an award ceremony, Petronas Vice President of Group Procurement Freida Amat highlighted the growth of the sector, noting the substantial increase in awardees from just 11 the previous year.

“This marks the progress achieved in the industry and is a testament to the robust collaboration between PETRONAS, the Sarawak State Government, and local OGSE industry players,” the press release said.

The event stressed the strengthening ties between Petronas and the Sarawak state government in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. Both entities reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a stable and conducive business environment. This alliance aims to bolster Sarawak and Malaysia’s economic growth by enhancing local capacity and capabilities in the industry.
