“From the screening conducted, a total of 30 individuals were found to have tested positive for various types of drugs,” he said in a statement.

Six of the suspects have been remanded for one day until May 2 under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code, while the remaining 24 suspects have been remanded for three days from May 2 to May 4 to assist in investigations.

Alexson said the success of the operation was the result of continuous intelligence efforts and information from the public.

He stressed that the Royal Malaysia Police would not compromise with any parties involved in drug trafficking, distribution, or activities that facilitate drug abuse, describing such offences as serious under the law.

He also urged the public to continue cooperating with the authorities in combating drug-related crimes, which he described as the nation’s number one enemy.
