Polytechnic Community College directorship induction course in Mukah hosts 37 participants

SIBU (Sept 19): The 2024 Polytechnic Community College (POLYCC) Malaysia Directorship Induction Course held in Mukah yesterday gathered 37 participants, including POLYCC directors from throughout the country.

The five-day course is organised by the Competence and Career Development Division of POLYCC in collaboration with Mukah Polytechnic (PMU) Training and Advanced Education Unit.

It is aimed to provide exposure on government procurement and management, such as principles and procurement policy.

According to PMU Training and Advanced Education Unit head Mohammad Idmal Hanafi, the course was also meant to help reduce public sector procurement issues from the perspective of audits and the latest government procurement procedures.

“It can increase awareness of issues of integrity and accountability in financial management, and the procurement department’s implementation can become more efficient and orderly,” he said in a statement.
