Premier, family pay Hari Raya Aidilfitri visit to TYT

KUCHING, Mar 31: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, accompanied by his family, paid a Hari Raya Aidilfitri visit to the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, at his official residence here on Monday evening (Mar 30).

In a post on the Premier’s official Facebook, he arrived with his family, including his daughter, Dayang Norjihan, at approximately 8.15pm, and was warmly received by the senior private secretary to TYT, Dato Sri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie, before being escorted into the main hall and welcomed by Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

The meeting, held in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere, continued with a dinner reception.

While enjoying the traditional dishes prepared, the two senior leaders were seen exchanging views and sharing in the joy of this year’s Aidilfitri celebration.

After spending nearly two hours together in a warm and familial setting, the Premier and his family departed at around 10pm.

Also present was the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development, DBKU, and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi. — DayakDaily
