KUALA LUMPUR, June 23: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg chaired a meeting with MPs and senators from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) here on Monday (June 22) in conjunction with the Parliamentary sitting.

According to the Premier’s official Facebook, the meeting focused on current issues related to Sarawak’s development, the implementation of strategic projects, and efforts to safeguard and advance Sarawak’s rights and interests at the Federal level.

It also served as an important platform to coordinate GPS’ positions and strategies in strengthening Sarawak’s voice at the national level.

During the meeting, the Premier also stressed the importance of cooperation, unity, and continued commitment among GPS elected representatives to ensure that Sarawak’s development agenda is implemented effectively for the well-being of the people.

The meeting was held in conjunction with the Second Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 15th Parliament, which runs from June 22 to July 16, for a total of 16 sitting days.

Meanwhile, the Dewan Negara is scheduled to sit from July 20 to August 4 for 10 days. The previous sitting of the Dewan Rakyat concluded on March 3 after 20 sitting days. — DayakDaily
