MIRI (Sept 26): Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sarawak secretary Alan Ling is calling members of the public in Miri to throng the three-day Sarawakku Sayang Madani Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2024 which will be taking place this Friday till Sunday (Sept 27 to 29) at Boulevard Commercial Centre here.

The programme is organised by the Prime Minister’s Office Project Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) as the leading ministry and the Sarawak government as the host.

Ling said the event aims to promote various initiatives implemented by the government for the benefit and comfort of the people.

In view of this, he urged the public to take advantage of the event as it will not only feature services offered by the government but will also offer sales of daily necessities at attractive prices.

“Our Prime Minister is expected to officiate at the programme at 2.30pm on September 28. There will also be state as well as federal ministers and leaders present at the event.

“Thus, I would like to urge the public to also come in full force and be a part of this wonderful programme tailored for the rakyat,” he said in a press statement yesterday.

According to Ling, the programme is organised by the Madani government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is highly committed in governing the country effectively.

“He is empowering economy and culture that are based on values as well as ethics, and focuses on four main strategic thrusts.

“These strategic thrusts are rebuilding the economy; guaranteeing the people’s well-being; reforming democratic and legal institutions; as well as creating a trustworthy administration,” he said.

Meanwhile the three-day Sarawakku Sayang Madani Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2024 will be taking place at the parking area of Boulevard Commercial Centre from 9am to 10pm on Sept 27 and 28 as well as 9am to 6pm on Sept 29.

As several main roads leading to the venue will be closed and detoured to alternative roads, members of the public are encouraged to take free shuttle buses from Miri Indoor Stadium to the venue, which will be provided by the organiser during the three days.
