BINTULU (Feb 23): Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee broke fast with orphans from Kompleks Peryatim Daud Abdul Rahman here on Saturday.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Iskandar described the occasion as one filled with blessings and warmth, in line with the essence of the holy month.

“In this blessed month, we continue the practice of sharing sustenance so that these children do not feel left out, but instead experience the love and togetherness of the surrounding community,” he said.

He added that Ramadan teaches the values of empathy, compassion and humanity, reminding society of its collective responsibility to care for the less fortunate.

“Seeing their smiles and happiness is a tremendous blessing. It reminds us that no matter how small the contribution, when given with sincerity, it can carry profound meaning,” he said.

Iskandar hoped that every contribution extended would become a lasting charitable deed and bring blessings to all involved.

“God willing, we will continue to nurture this spirit of togetherness for the well-being and happiness of the community,” he said.
