MIRI (Feb 28): The second Ramadan Care programme, featuring the distribution of bubur lambuk and a community iftar with local leaders, benefitted 50 people from underprivileged households in Kampung Senadin Jaya here.
State Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting said the programme reflected Sarawak’s enduring spirit of unity and compassion.
The Piasau assemblyman also emphasised that assistance should be delivered fairly and inclusively, regardless of race or religion.
The initiative was carried out by the Piasau State Constituency Service Centre, with support from Tong Seng Huat Rice Trading Sdn Bhd and Liansin Trading Sdn Bhd.
Acknowledging the corporate contributions during the festive season, Ting highlighted the importance of cooperation between the government and the private sector in strengthening harmony and mutual support within the community.
“These collective efforts ensure that resources are effectively delivered to those who truly need them,” he added.
