RM62,000 distributed to 24 organisations under Pujut’s MRP grant

MIRI (Oct 23): About 24 associations and organisations in this division yesterday received allocations, amounting to RM62,000, under the Minor Rural Programme (MRP) grant for Pujut state constituency.

In his brief remarks, Pujut assemblyman Mayor Adam Yii reminded the recipients to make good use of the allocations to run activities meant to benefit their respective communities.

The distribution session took place at the Pujut office of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP).

The non-governmental organisations receiving the MRP allocations are Inner Wheel Club Miri; The Society for Miri Urban Poor; Kelab Pembimbing Usahawan Miri; Miri Chawan Association Youth Section Lion Troupe; Miri Division Pineapple Planters Association; Kelab Rekreasi Sukan Hasil 2024 Kedah/Perlis; Kelab Rekreasi dan Kebajikan Kakitangan Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Zon 6; Miri Youth Activity Centre; Miri Buddhist Society; Institution of Mechanical Engineering Curtin University Malaysia Student Chapter; Ketua Mesyarakat dan Ketua Kaum Melayu Daerah Miri; Miri Harmony Cultural Society; Persatuan Penganut Buddha Ser Pa Lo Han Miri; Junior Chamber International Lutong; Miri Hindu Society; Miri Confucious Teaching Society; St Columba’s Parish; Persatuan Pengajar Memandu Kereta Miri; and Hwa Kwang Buddhist Association Miri.

The recipient sports and social bodies are Piasau Link Traditional Archery Club, Curtin Basketball Club; Pasukan Bola Tampar Bawah 12 Tahun Bahagian Miri; Kelab Rekreasi dan Sukan Klinik Kesihatan Jalan Merbau; and the parent-teacher association of SMK Lutong.
