KUCHING, June 24: A temporary road closure will be implemented along Jalan Sultan Tengah, near the Damai and Country Club junction, from June 26 June to 28, between 8am and 12 midnight, in conjunction with the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2026 at the Sarawak Cultural Village.

Kuching District Police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the closure is necessary to manage traffic flow and ensure public safety due to limited road capacity and parking constraints in the area during the event period.

He said visitors attending the festival are advised to park their vehicles at the junction leading into Damai and Country Club before taking the shuttle service provided to the venue.

“The closure is intended to ensure smoother traffic movement around the event location. We urge the public to cooperate by not parking in ways that may obstruct traffic flow,” he said.
