Road closures set for Kuching Waterfront Festival on Oct 26 and Nov 3

KUCHING: The public is advised to take note of three road closures on Oct 26 and Nov 3 in conjunction with the Kuching Waterfront Festival 2024.

The affected roads are Jalan Lebuh Wayang to Main Bazaar, Jalan Main Bazar and Jalan Wawasan to Jalan Wayang.

Kuching police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the closures are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the festival and traffic flow.

“The roads will be closed on Oct 26 from 7 am to 12.30 pm for the opening of Sarawak Regatta 2024.

“On Nov 3, the same roads will be closed from 12 pm to 6 pm for the closing ceremony of the regatta,” he said in a statement.

Mohd Farhan advised the public not to park their vehicles by the roadside and to plan their journeys by choosing alternative routes to avoid congestion.
