KUCHING (Sept 20): The ‘same-day’ registration system, implemented by Sarawak’s Land and Survey Department for registration of land titles and instruments, was highlighted during the 81st National Land Council Meeting held at Perdana Putra in Putrajaya recently.
Chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the meeting gathered the menteri besars and chief ministers from other states, with Sarawak being represented by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
According to Awang Tengah, this system is an improvement from the ‘one-day registration’ in 2009.
“Under this (same-day) system, any submission of application sent before 11am will be completed before 5pm the same day.
“This system has been in use since 2019, and is accredited with an ISO 9001: 2015 rating,” said Awang Tengah in the meeting, as reported in a statement issued by his office.
Also present at the Putrajaya meeting were Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development’s permanent secretary Datu Abdullah Julaihi and Sarawak Land and Survey Department director Awang Zamhari Awang Mahmood.
