Sadong Jaya has won three world recognitions.

KOTA SAMARAHAN, 5 Oct: The Sadong Jaya Binding Project of Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) has achieved great success by achieving three third place recognitions at the 15th World Congress & Exhibition (WCDH) Design & Health 2026.

Three such recognitions were achieved in the categories Mental Health, Future Built Environment Project and Sustainable Urban & Built Environment.

The congress was held from 28 September to 2 October 2026 at the UNIFOR Complex, Kuching.

According to MPKS, the congress entitled 'The Mission for Salutogenic Healthy Cities - Fostering Healthy Environments for Healthy People' focused on developing urban environments that support aspects of health, well-being, community inclusion and sustainability.

"This achievement reflects MPKS's commitment to planning and developing a healthy, inclusive, sustainable and community-friendly urban environment.

"It is also in line with MPKS's aspiration to make the Samarahan area a more livable, quality municipality and prioritize community welfare", according to the statement.
