KUCHING, June 18: Key issues affecting the people of Sarawak and the State’s ongoing development agenda were among the main topics discussed during a meeting between Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg ahead of the State Cabinet meeting today.

The meeting took place at the Sarawak Governor’s office at Astana Sarawak at 10am, in conjunction with the scheduled State Cabinet Meeting (MMKN), and served as a pre-council briefing session between the two State leaders.

According to a post shared on Sarawak Governor’s social media page, the courtesy call provided an opportunity to brief the Governor on key administrative matters as well as to exchange views on current issues and strategic priorities affecting Sarawak.

Discussions also covered the State’s development direction, including ongoing and planned strategic initiatives by the Sarawak government aimed at ensuring continued progress that is sustainable and inclusive for the people.

Wan Junaidi expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Premier, Sarawak would continue to record strong progress and achieve greater success across multiple sectors.

He also noted that the implementation of new policies and initiatives focused on people’s welfare, economic development, and regional growth would further strengthen Sarawak’s position as a progressive, prosperous, and competitive State. — DayakDaily
