Sarawak My Love has opened 50,000 visits

MUKAH, 4 Oct: Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Program of the Open Section has recorded about 50,000 visitors since last Friday, reflecting community encouragement to the initiative of the Government of Sarawak.

Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land and Nature Administration, Datuk Len Talif Salleh said the celebration was also seen through participation in 3KM Fun Walk Costume activity that took place this morning.

According to him, the organizers initially targeted about 300 participants, but the total participation was estimated at 500.

"This is part of the state government's efforts to engage local communities and emphasize health interests.

"The reception of the citizens in the Muharram region, especially in this city of Muharram, is the best", he said when met on the Seminar Program andflag-off3K Fun Walk Costume for my beloved Sarawak Expedition 2026 part opening at the Pehin Loy King Square today.

He said that the involvement of communities from all walks of life in these activities proves that such programmes are capable of promoting active and healthy lifestyles among the population.

Meanwhile, Len Talif welcomed more residents of the Open Division to visit the program which is entering its final day today.

He said various supplies were provided to visitors including a lucky draw at the closing ceremony this evening with the top prize of a Proton Saga worth over RM40,000.

He also expressed his gratitude that the weather conditions throughout the program were good, while the fog that previously plagued the area was reported to be no longer a problem.

The Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Program Part 1 is among the platforms of the Government of Sarawak to reach out to the community through delivery of services, community activities and various programs for the benefit of local people.
