LIMBANG (April 10): A total of 110 recipients from 13 Sarawak and federal government departments and agencies in Limbang Division received the Long Service Medal from the state government today.
Of the 13 departments and agencies, nine were from the state government while four were federal agencies.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated the awards presentation ceremony at Purnama Hotel Limbang.
Limbang Resident Unus Tambi led the list of recipients this year, having served with dedication in the civil service for 33 years.
He was followed by Limbang Deputy Resident Maria Cotilla Louise @ Rozita Kulai, who also has 33 years of service.
Former Limbang Immigration chief Khaltom Ahmad was recognised as the longest-serving recipient at the ceremony, with 37 years of service.
Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, and other distinguished guests.
