BELAGA (March 24): A search and rescue (SAR) operation has been launched to locate a 67-year-old man who was reported missing from Uma Sambop in Sungai Asap here.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said a report on the missing man was received around 4.30pm on Monday.
“According to the police, the man’s wife lodged a report stating that her husband had left their house on Sunday at 6.30am and had not returned home since.
“It was also reported that the man identified as Lazarus Kulleh is undergoing treatment for mental health issues,” Bomba said in a statement.
Bomba said search efforts had been carried out by family members and villagers, but Lazarus had yet to be found.
It added Lazarus was last seen wearing a blue and white T-shirt and blue and white shorts.
