Shoplot destroyed in fire

MIRI: A shop lot at the Morsjaya Hawker Centre was completely destroyed in a fire last night (Sept 21).

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received an emergency call at 10.59pm, prompting a team from the Lopeng station to rush to the scene.

Upon arrival, the firefighters quickly began the operation to control the flames, which lasted nearly an hour.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have yet to be determined, and investigations are currently underway.

No injuries have been reported.
