Siburan to face water supply interruption for main pipe repairs

KUCHING (Feb 26): Several areas in Siburan will experience a water supply interruption from 10am today until around 5pm.

Sarawak Water (Southern Region) said in an unscheduled water supply interruption notice that the affected areas are Kampung Duras, Taman Duras, Taman Sinaran Heights, Taman Butterfly, Lorong Jawa Gunda 6 and 9, Mandala Drive, Jalan Rakut, and the surrounding areas.

“Consumers in these areas may experience low water pressure or no water supply during the repair period,” said the notice.

The supply interruption is to enable repairs on the 300mm ductile iron main pipe leak at the Jalan Kuching-Serian and Jalan Kampung Duras junction.

Sarawak Water said water tanker services would be mobilised if needed.

“Road users are advised to exercise caution and comply with all traffic management and safety regulations during the repair works.

“Please be informed that one lane will be closed during the repair period to facilitate the works,” said Sarawak Water.
