Sukma XXI: Sarawak swim team bags bronze each in women’s 200m butterfly, men’s 50m breaststroke

KUCHING (Aug 21): Sarawak’s swim team continues to make a splash at Sukma XXI, with Kayleigh Ang and Hector Ho Rze Jun both securing their first personal medals in a thrilling day of competition.

In the women’s 200m butterfly, Ang delivered a commendable performance, capturing the bronze medal with a time of 2:23.71.

This marks her first medal of the competition, a significant achievement as she competed against some of the nation’s top swimmers.

The gold medal was claimed by Selangor’s Lim Shun Qi, who clocked in at 2:22.02, while the silver went to Misya Khor Yue Lynn with a time of 2:22.49.

On the men’s side, Ho also made his mark, winning his first medal in the highly competitive 50m breaststroke.

He touched the wall at 29.67 seconds to earn the bronze.
