The body of Captain Zainol Afiq arrives at KLIA

SEPANG, 13 September: The body of Captain Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, 30, who was killed in a helicopter crash by the Air Doctor Service (FDS), arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 at 2.28 pm today.

Allahyarham's body was taken home from Miri Airport, Sarawak on Malaysia Airlines flight MH2575 at 12.10 pm.

The body van was later seen leaving KLIA Cargo Village at about 3.15pm, accompanied by close family members and representatives of the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM).

Allahyarham Zainol Afiq will be buried in the Muslim Cemetery of Senawang, Forest Heights, Negeri Sembilan after the Asar prayer.

Allahyarham was one of five victims killed in the helicopter crash carrying the FDS team, after the helicopter crashed and burned near Long Lellang Airport (STOLport) on Tuesday.

The incident also claimed the lives of four health workers, Dr. Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin, assistant medical officer Alexson Adit Henry and two nurses, Jessie Paya Jok and Debra Moset.

Dr Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin's body was previously flown to Kota Bharu, Kelantan using a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMA) special aircraft, before being buried at the Seri Kedeper Cemetery Ground, Chepa Base after Zohor today.

Meanwhile, Alexson Adit Henry and Jessie Paya Jok were transferred from Miri Hospital to their respective homes today.

Funeral services for both of her widows are scheduled tomorrow, September 14, at the Anglican Cemetery in Lambir, Miri for Widow Alexson, while Widow Jessie will be buried at BEM Cemetery in Lambir, Miri, Sarawak.

Debra Moset's mother was flown to Kuching for treatment in Semadang Village, Padawan tomorrow.
