The design of the Sadong Jaya Heritage Site gained international recognition

SADONG JAYA, 15 Sept: The design of the Heritage Site located on the Sadong Jaya Waterfront has received international recognition from the International Academy and Health, Sweeden in order to highlight the potential development of the area as a heritage-based tourism destination.

Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Rubiah Wang said that the design of the project is among five iconic tourism development plans in Sadong Jaya to be launched next year.

He said the recognition reflects efforts to strengthen the attractiveness of the area through development that combines elements of heritage, design and tourism values.

"Thank God...we have gotten approval together with Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, Datuk Aidel Lariwoo regarding the planning framework as well as design and I would like to inform you here as Datuk Aidel announced earlier that the design for Sadong Jaya Heritage Site has also won International Design, Green and Hub recently received her award on October 1. The design of this building has been internationally recognized", he said.

He said this to TVS after chairing the IRSDA's Socio-Economic Development Project Committee Meeting held at the Sadong Batang Service Centre here, today.

Meanwhile, Aidel announced that the award ceremony will be held on October 1 at UNIFOR Building.

He also urged all agencies to cooperate in ensuring the five projects run as planned.
