The state program fertilizes the patriotism of the younger generation

KUCHING, 15 Sept: Kuching Regional Information Office in collaboration with Matang 2 National Religious High School organized the National Day and Malaysia Day 2026 Celebration Program to promote patriotism and increase awareness of Malaysian independence and formation among schoolchildren.

The programme also serves as a platform to bring the Malaysian Information Department closer to the community especially students, and convey the message of nationalism and the importance of unity in multi-racial society.

A variety of exciting activities are organised throughout the programme to provide opportunities for students to take an active part in celebrating National Month and Malaysia Day.

The programme also emphasizes the importance of Rukun Nasional, unity, harmony and love for the homeland as a foundation in shaping young generations with identity and sense of responsibility towards the country.

Education Officer, Padawan Regional Education Office, Sharifah Idawati Wan Ahmad said that the implementation of such programs is expected to be further strengthened in future to ensure Malaysia's spirit of culture, unity and love for the country continues to flourish among younger generations, especially school students.

The programme was also started with a talk related to bullying delivered by the Investigation Officer/Criminal Operations Officer of Regional Police Headquarters (IPD) Padawan, Inspector Mohamad Azlan Abu Bakar.

The promotion of the programme took place in a lively and patriotic atmosphere, thus becoming a meaningful platform in celebrating National Day and Malaysia Day 2026.

Kuching District Officer Zaidi Sharkawi and Kuching District Information Officer Pauline Sating were in attendance.
