Thousands attend Awang Tengah’s Hari Raya open house in Lawas

KUCHING (March 23): Thousands attended the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house hosted by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and his wife Dato Dayang Morliah Awang Daud at Hotel Seri Malaysia in Lawas on Sunday.

The special occasion drew a large crowd throughout the day, with visitors arriving early with their families, many dressed in traditional attire.

The open house provided an opportunity for the public to meet Awang Tengah and other leaders, as well as interact in an informal setting while enjoying a spread of festive dishes.

Among those present were federal Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, Deputy Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong and Batu Danau assemblyman Datuk Paulus Palu Gumbang.

The event continues today, which marks the final day of the open house.
