Tun Taib Mahmud Bridge lights up for Hari Raya 2026.By DayakDaily Team
BINTULU, March 18: Tun Taib Mahmud Bridge, which spans the Kemena River and is the third longest bridge in Sarawak, has been transformed into a dazzling spectacle of colourful lights, illuminating the night sky over Bintulu in a spectacular celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
In a post shared on social media on Tuesday (March 17), the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak said the “Hari Raya Light Up” initiative not only brings the festive spirit to life but also serves as a symbol of community celebration, fostering unity and togetherness among local residents.
The captivating light display will be open to the public from March 17 to 24 , daily between 7pm and 11pm.
Visitors are invited to experience the bridge’s stunning illuminations, a proud symbol of Sarawak and one of the state’s most iconic landmarks.
JKR Sarawak hopes the programme will continue to enrich Hari Raya festivities while promoting harmony, togetherness, and a sense of community among locals.
