KAPIT, Sept 13: Two bullet trucks were detained for inspection in the Commercial Vehicle Combat Ops conducted by JPJ Kapit Operations Unit around Kapit-Mujong Road, recently.

The operation was carried out following complaints and information from the public regarding the activity of truckloads in the area.

According to JPJ Sarawak's statement, as a result of patrol and monitoring, two bullet trucks were detained and the inspection found several offenses, including dangerously carrying cargoes as well as thinned tire flowers.

"Other misconduct involving technical aspects of the vehicle were also detected and action was taken in accordance with the provisions of the law in force.

"JPJ Sarawak appreciates the Kapit community for its concern to transmit complaints and information to authorities", the statement said.

Community cooperation is essential to help JPJ improve monitoring and enforcement actions in the field.

JPJ Sarawak also encourages the public to continue disseminating information about road traffic offences in order to create a safer road environment together. -TVS
