KUCHING (March 23): A driver and his passenger, aged 82 and 70, sustained injuries after their vehicle crashed by the roadside in Kampung Sri Kandong here on Monday.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) dispatched rescuers from the Petra Jaya fire station after receiving a distress call at 4.59pm.
“The incident involved a compact car that crashed by the roadside, and there were two male victims injured as a result of the incident.
“Both victims were extricated from the crashed vehicle and sent to the hospital for further treatment,” Bomba said.
The operation ended at 6.04pm.
