KUCHING (Jan 28): The Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) detained two foreign drivers and seized six vehicles during Ops Pemandu Warga Asing and Ops Motosikal today.
According to a Facebook post by the department, the enforcement operation involved patrols along major roads in Kuching as well as static inspections at Jalan Batu Kawa.
Two foreign nationals were detained for driving without valid licences.
In addition, five motorcycles and a pickup truck were seized for offences including expired road tax and insurance, driving without a valid licence, and extreme modifications to vehicle structures and equipment.
JPJ Sarawak said enforcement efforts will be intensified to ensure compliance with road traffic laws and improve road safety.
The department also urged all road users to be responsible and adhere to traffic regulations for the safety of everyone.
